Our Story
Almost 20 years ago, surrounded by several “wine connoisseurs,” I tasted my first bottle of “very expensive” wine, along with a bottle of what some would call “middle of the road” wine, and realized very quickly that wine tasting is subjective to what you like, who you are, and where you have been on your trip through life.
Fast forward 15 years, I am helping my brother (at Pulchella Winery), learning about wine, and a feeling comes over me. This is what I want to do. I want to be a part of something that has the potential to be bigger than me.
A winery, to me, is family and friends. It is sharing and partaking. It is talking and learning and growing.
Here at Parhelion Cellars our concentration is to deliver handcrafted wines which represent the entire state of California. You may taste a Zinfandel from Paso Robles, and a Cabernet from Napa. You might sample a Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara County, and a Chardonnay from Lodi. Small quantities of wine with big flavors. Our wines are typically aged from one and a half to two years, in a combination of neutral and new oak barrels.
